Microsoft announced today that Windows 8 for individual customers will be available to be bought by the end of October, both for PCs and tablets.
On the other hand the enterprise version, made only for companies signing a special agreement regarding software assurance, will be released in August.
Although since March this year there was a report saying that the new operating system would be released in October, this is the first time Microsoft confirms the news.
